SSL

Wow….that was easy. I just wanted to add SSL security to the website. I was prepared for :

  1. Creating a public and private key
  2. Creating a Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
  3. Issuing the CSR to a Certificate Authority (CA)
  4. Receving the signed certificate
  5. Configuring the Keys and Certificate in this very website.

However …. Let’s Encrypt and my provider (vdx.nl) made it so much more easy….a few button clicks …. and there it was….my site (a little) more scure through SSL, which translates to a HTTPS site.

On the go also enabled HSTS (HTTP Strict Transport Security).
